Angling

Angling in Val di Fiemme means

  • A choice of mountain rivers running along the valley floor such as the Avisio and the TravignoloLaghi e torrenti di montagna per pescare
  • innumerable streams
  • the high Alpine lakes

Species found include the Brown Trout, Char (protected) and Marble Trout.
The latter is one of the most sought-after members of the Salmonidae family, a native of the Val di Fiemme. In view of declining numbers and a shrinking habitat in recent years, angling associations have undertaken an ambitious protection and re-population ppesca01rogram, including the renovation and conversion of the fish farm in Predazzo into a semi-closed system allowing reproduction of the native marble and brown trout varieties.
