FIS Nordic Combined World Cup
From 13th to 15th January 2017
The exaltation of the handiness in the air and the endurance on the cross country skis
The show is on stage on Friday 13th, Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th February at the Ski Jumping Stadium of Predazzo and at the Cross Country Stadium of Lago di Tesero. The ranking will be decided according to the Gundersen system, that turns the metres jumped from the hill HS 134 (Large Hill) into seconds of gap for the following cross country part.
In a Nordic combined race – as the word says, two disciplines get combined – ski jumping and cross country skiing – to give life to a double wonderful show where athletes can express their physical skills and abilities, different but complementary for the final result. Strength, balance and handiness in the air added to endurance and technique on the cross country skis.
The two venues - recently renovated for the 2013 World Championship to comply with the most recent criteria of technological efficiency, accessibility and respect for the environment – are equipped with large spaces also to the use of the public, who can easily enjoy each event with the so-called “front row seat”.
