Every year in September, Cavalese celebrates the return of goats from the Alpine pastures with a big festival.
The colourful decorated flock of sheep moves through Cavalese’s lanes to the centre, where they are received with lively music. Handmade items, dairy products like goat cheese, butter, cottage cheese and honey can be found at the country fair.
