7-8 January 2012 Mass Start and Final Climb
Val di Fiemme is enthusiastic about Tour de Ski and sees it as the most prestigious event scheduled on the world cross-country ski calendar.
From Oberhof, Germany to Oberstdorf and Dobbiaco, then TdS will arrive in the Trentino region and its last stage will be held along the amazing Final Climb on Alpe Cermis, more than 3.5 km long with a difference in altitude of 420m and an average gradient of 12% (highest 28%).
Two days with great competitive races beginning with the classic technique mass start (10 km ladies and 20 km men), followed by the free technique Final Climb (9 km, pursuit for both ladies and men) which will start from the renewed Cross-country Ski Stadium of Lago di Tesero and will reach then the intermediate station of Alpe Cermis ski resort. 
After the successful last year edition, the “Rampa con i Campioni” will take place again this year. It is the event dedicated to fans and athletes who will have the chance to try the Alpe Cermis Final Climb just a few minutes before the World Cup champions.

There will be several events organized to celebrate these races with fans and local people::
- Fiemme Folk: Friday Jan 6th at 9 pm in Lago di Tesero a small “Oktoberfest” in winter
- Fiemme Rock: Saturday Jan 7th at 9 pm in Lago di Tesero the party goes ROCK
- Fiemme Arena: Saturday Jan 7th from 11 am in Lago di Tesero entertainment for everybody with games, shows and much fun
- South Nordic Festival: Saturday Jan 7th at 5 pm in Cavalese music, tastings of typical products and local entertainment in the town centre
- Fan Club Parade: Saturday Jan 7th at 5 pm in Cavalese the fan clubs of great champions will parade around town
- Tour del Gusto: Sunday Jan 8th from 9.30 am at Alpe Cermis tastings, music and fun along the amazing Final Climb
