Very shaded route that develops in a forest of Norway spruce.
Just a few steps from Dorà, a small hamlet of the municipality of Valfloriana, you immerse yourself in a dense forest mainly composed of Norway spruce and ground typical of forests made up of these conifers. Areas covered with spruce needles alternate with others that are more humid and covered with moss. Here and there black blueberry plants abound. At the right time you can also find mushrooms, the collection of which is subject to the purchase of a daily or multi-day permit. Once out of the forest the view opens onto the lush Val di Cembra, land of vineyards, ancient factories, nature trails and incredible vistas.

THE 10 RULES FOR HIKERS
As you can imagine, the passability of routes in a mountain environment is closely linked to current conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have changed. Before you set off, find out about the state of the route by contacting the manager of the refuges on your route, the mountain guides, the visitor centers of the natural parks and the tourist offices.
From the Dorà little church head to the paved road towards Palù, after passing the first house on the right take the grassy path before another house and climb through the meadows. On the right you will find the small playground while on the left there are benches with tables. Continue uphill, straight up the steep slope, ignoring the obvious path on the right. Continue straight uphill on the path with some roots, leaving the stone walls on the left. The path continues steeply on a trail until you reach a rock about one meter high, passing to the left and then continues through a mossy undergrowth. The path reaches a plateau and then becomes more evident and starts to descend (noting a small clearing on the right). A very short climb leads to a small hill where you can notice the change in vegetation. The route descends again, flanked on the left by a small wall and finishing in a meadow and then on the paved road. Looking up you have a beautiful view of Val di Cembra. Upon reaching the asphalt, turn right returning to the starting point.
Reach Casatta on SP71 and follow the signs for Dorà.
