Desmontegada de le vache
Predazzo gets crowded! Stands, little houses and gazeboes serving food and drinks, pots of polenta, the Farmer’s Market and Festival of Taste (October 5th – 6th).
On Sunday at 11:00 cows will parade, decorated with flowers and little branches of spruce like real celebrities, accompanied by farmers, malga owners and shepherds of all ages wearing typical suites and dresses. Then carriages, carts full of hay, horses, sheep, goats and even hens. Thousands of people come to watch the show. Furthermore, the workshops by The Road of Cheeses of the Dolomites let children become wise cheesemakers.
During the week before the Desmontegada, taste will be the protagonist at the food&drink festival “Autumn at Table” and the “European Festival of Taste”. The intense program of the Festival includes public meetings, show cooking, tours and food&drink events. The ambitious target is to give value to the mountain communities’ quality of life through a growing awareness about what the territory can offer. These events represent a sort of journey to the authentic and wholesome taste.
