Located at 1.954 m, it can be reached from Passo Oclini with an easy walk of about 20 minutes along a dirt road, suitable for strollers too. It serves typical dishes of South Tyrol, like the famous afternoon desserts Strauben and Kaiserschmarren, which can be enjoyed sitting in the indoor stube (a room with wood covered walls) or at the outdoor tables and benches. Children can run around freely and play safely in the meadows next to the mountain hut, where goats, cows and calves graze. Starting from Malga Gurndin there are several hiking trails leading to Corno Bianco, Bletterbach, Corno Nero and Passo Cugola. Open in summer and winter.
