Alpe Cermis

Alpe Cermis

2230 m

In the heart of the Mountain Chain of Lagorai, Alpe Cermis is the summer gateway to a natural and still wild paradise, populated by eagles and marmots surrounded by little mountain lakes. When it snows, the meadows turn into ski slopes. The longest and most famous one is Olimpia (7,5 km), whose last stretch is illuminated at night.
From Cavalese, the scenic cableway leads to Doss del Laresi, where children can have fun playing in Cermislandia, open both in summer and in winter. There, first take another cableway then a chair lift and you get at the top of the mountain, at Paion to admire an incredible panorama highlighting the beauty of the valley: Latemar, Catinaccio, Sasso Piatto, Sassolungo, Massif of Sella, the southern wall of Marmolada, Pale di S. Martino, the mountain chain of Brenta, Cevedale, Ortles and Alpi Venoste. The cooking you can taste in the mountain restaurants at Alpe Cermis is particularly genuine, offering tasteful menus, typical and delicious products.
Alpe Cermis is part of the big skiing circuit Dolomiti Superski (you can buy an overall skipass valid for 1200 Km of slopes).
