Disney flies over Val di Fiemme

This summer, fantasy gets the best of reality in Val di Fiemme. Disney has discovered the “Dragon Forest”, a special natural place in the Dolomites of Trentino dedicated to the enjoyment for families which incredibly looks like the forests of New Zeakand where the movie-makers of “The Jungle Book” filmed the new movie “Pete's Dragon”.

If you don't know, “The Dragon Forest” is a fantastic path where the playthings are made of stones and wood that perfectly fit the surrounding wood of spruces.

Here Disney invited two special families who looked for Pete's Dragon.

The first Italian family was Francesco Facchinetti and Wilma Helena Faissol, with their son Leone; thenit was Francesca Del Taglia, Eugenio Colombo and their son Brando's turn.

The outcome of this amazing experience of theirs in the Dragon Forest is a video - filmed by cameras and drones - where the protagonists are following the dragons' tracks, visiting the dragonologist' hut and finding a giant dragon's nest on their way.

While Disney and the talent shows involved social media channels were launching the video, Disney Channel has sponsored a contest to win two weekends in Val di Fiemme, agreed with the Tourism Board Office Val di Fiemme.

At Latemar they have grabbed the chance of the movie promotion campaign, imbued with pure attitude and sensitivity to nature, to show the Italian families this breathtaking place in the Dolomites of Trentino, that already 90,000 visitors come to visit every summer. Sara Azzolini, person in charge, creator of the Animated Mountain of Latemar and project manager of Latemar 2200 ski lifts Predazzo, said proudly «The spots start with the funny story of two families looking for an invisible dragon on the Animated Mountain and finish with a mind-boggling movie scene that looks like being filmed in our forest. When I was watching them, I got the feeling the tender and powerful Disney dragon was jumping from our Latemar».

After all, everyone knows that Disney can make dreams come true. “For us who have been inviting children to look for the invisible dragons of Latemar for a long time, this is a dream that has become a reality, - Sara Azzolini added, «Fundamentally this message is becoming viral thanks to the two spots and the photographs: the dream of exploring the habitat of a legendary winged creature is a reality on the Animated Mountain of Latemar». A few days before the movie premiere, Sara Azzolini and her entertainers are getting ready to watch the debut of this great Disney adventure.

The Italian families can go to the cinema and watch “Pete's Dragon” and its top cast, led by Bryce Dallas Howard and Robert Redford, from August 10th.
