New sledding slope in Bellamonte

17/11/2014

Everyone goes insane for wild slopes. This year in Val di Fiemme there is a new sledding slope in Bellamonte, near the boundaries of the Natural Park Paneveggio Pale di San Martino. The 1.6-km-long slope Le Fraine passes through the woods covered with snow, with a 200-metre altitude gap. You catch the chairlift “Castelir-Le Fassane” to reach Le Fassane, at 1750 metres asl. and slide down until Castelir, at 1.545 metres asl., in the magical silent of the wood. At Castelir you can get on the chairlift to repeat the slope. You can rent the sleds close to the lower chairlift station.

People can enjoy the emotion of sledding more and more also at Passo Lavazé. At the Snowpark Malga Varena you can slide on sleds, tubbies, snowbikes and monoskis. And this year, underneath the mount Pala Santa, the Snowpark Lavazé turns into the fantastic Greta & Gummer Park – a new winter amusement park and new tubby and sledding slopes for adults and children. Both the snowparks are supplied with a rolling carpet.

If you like sliding on the snow, the Alpine Coaster Gardoné is what you are looking for – one of the most exciting attractions of Trentino. To get there, catch the cableway Latemar from Predazzo. Jump onto the monorail sleds and start the one-kilometre-long downhill with jumps, looping corners, bumps and breathtaking turns safely and in contact with the uncontaminated nature of the woods of Latemar. At Gardoné there is also a tubby and a 500-metre-long sledding slope.

To slide by night you can reach the Laner-Obereggen slope of Ski Center Latemar. The 2.5 km-long trails is illuminated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 19.00 to 22.00.

Who prefers to stay at the bottom of the valley can have a lot of fun at the Snowpark of Ziano. The sledding and tubby slopes in Ziano are open every day from 10.00 to 16.00, and on also on Saturday night from 20.00 to 21.30.
