What’s new about Val di Fiemme’s slopes

Two new slopes on Latemar besides the panoramic restaurant In.Treska, and a new path on Alpe Cermis to reach the top of Paion: these are the news for this upcoming winter season 2022-23 in the ski area Val di Fiemme – Obereggen.

The ski area Val di Fiemme – Obereggen, that with one single ski-pass includes more than 110 km of slopes divided into five areas (Ski Center Latemar, Alpe Cermis, Lusia-Bellamonte, Lavazè - Oclini and Passo Rolle), is opening this winter season with some big news, starting from the brand new panoramic restaurant In.Treska, at the arrival of the Tresca chairlift in the Latemar ski area. In addition to the many mountain huts and restaurants already available on the slopes of Val di Fiemme, this new restaurant combines traditional food with a more refined cuisine.

In the same area, Ski Center Latemar, skiers will get the chance to try two new slopes: Campanil 2, a blue slope near the renovated 6-seat chairlift Campanili, and Zanggen II, a very steep slope (grade average above 30% with peaks of 44%) that is suitable for athletes’ trainings too.

The big news at Alpe Cermis for winter season 2022/23 is Orizzonti Dolomitici, a new path that starts from the arrival of the cable car and leads to the top of Paion, walkable with snowshoes or Nordic walking or with mountaineering skis (but in this case only on the way up). Its name refers to the stunning landscape on the Dolomites that you can admire along this 1.3 km route, next to the slope Lagorai heading to Rifugio Paion.
