High altitude route with little traffic, offering a magnificent 360° view over numerous mountain groups.
Leaving behind the Bellamonte 3.0 cable car, follow the wide dirt road with a constant gentle climb that leads to Passo Lusia, where we find the homonymous refuge. This first stretch is usually very busy, unlike what follows. The steep stretch after the upper station of the lifts coming up from Moena leads to a wilder mountain environment, where silence is interrupted only by birdsong and the sound of the wind.

THE 10 RULES FOR HIKERS
As you can imagine, the passability of routes in a mountain environment is closely linked to current conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes, and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have changed. Before setting out, check the status of the route by contacting the refuge managers along your path, the mountain guides, visitor centers of natural parks, and tourist offices.
After ascending with the Bellamonte 3.0 cable car, take the small path that reaches the forest road in a few minutes. Here continue towards Passo Lusia (trail marker no. 623) with a constant moderate climb through green meadows full of flowers and some small wooden huts. Upon reaching Passo Lusia, you must face the steep dirt road that leads to Le Cune, at the arrival of the ski lifts starting from Moena. From the top of this hill (Piavac 2,272 meters), the unnumbered path that develops along the ridge towards the southwest is clearly outlined, until reaching Cima Viezzena. This seemingly insignificant peak reveals a magnificent 360° panorama.
The return takes place along the same route as the outward journey.
Bus from Predazzo to Loc. Castelir.
From Predazzo take the road to Passo Rolle. After the village of Bellamonte turn left towards the Castelir lifts.
Large parking lot near the ski lifts.
Hiking shoes, waterproof jacket, trekking poles, water, snacks, and sunscreen.
