Easy but long route that takes place almost entirely on forest roads and trails. The final reward is the beautiful Lago delle Stellune.
Lago delle Stellune is a corner of peace and tranquility where you can enjoy a suggestive and wild environment. In July, the green pasture around the water is dotted with various colors: dominated by the pink of rhododendron and fireweed, accompanied by the yellow of lesser celandine and the purple of harebells. The contrast with the deep blue of the lake's waters makes this corner of Lagorai magical.

THE 10 RULES FOR HIKERS
As you can imagine, route accessibility in a mountain environment is strictly linked to current conditions and depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes, and weather. For this reason, the information in this sheet may have changed. Before starting, check the route status by contacting the refuge managers on your route, alpine guides, visitor centers of natural parks, and tourist offices.
You start on foot along the forest road that runs alongside the Rio delle Stue, following trail No. 318. After an initial section through the woods, you reach the pasture with the former Malga Stue Bassa and then Malga Stue Alta. You continue again through the forest to reach the second pasture and Malga Cazzorga, where the forest road ends. Here the cows graze peacefully throughout the summer season, eating grass and flowers that give the milk a unique flavor (look for the malga cheese in the valley dairies, you won't regret it!).
Just north of the malga, trail No. 318 rises in altitude passing just below Malga delle Stellune and continues eastward towards Forcella Valsorda, finally reaching Lago delle Stellune, nestled under Cimon delle Stellune, Monte Montalon, and Cima delle Buse.
For those still feeling strong, it is possible to continue to Forcella Valsorda where extensive First World War trenches are visible.
The return follows the same path as the outward journey.
The lake can also be reached starting from Passo Manghen with a walk of about 3.5 hours. It lies along the famous Translagorai route, the trekking that crosses the Lagorai Chain from Passo Manghen to Passo Rolle.
From Cavalese head towards Molina di Fiemme and take SP No. 31 towards Passo Manghen. Follow the road to Ponte Stue (altitude 1,240 m), 8 km from Molina di Fiemme.
At the locality Ponte Stue (both before and after the bridge).
Trekking shoes, waterproof jacket, trekking poles, water, sunscreen, snacks.
