Please note that the practicability of the itineraries in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the contingent conditions and is therefore influenced by natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this page may have changed. Before leaving for a tour, make sure the path you will approach is still accessible by contacting the owner of the mountain hut, the alpine guides or the visitor centres of the nature parks, the info offices of the local tourist board.

Starting from the little church in Dorà, we set off uphill on the tarmac road, immediately leaving the last pretty houses behind us. Looking to the right, we can see the wooded slopes of the Val di Cembra, the village of Grumes and the Paganella. We then enter a beautiful deciduous forest. Having reached the clearing where logs are often piled up, we ignore the uphill asphalt road to take the obvious dirt road to the right. We follow the forest road, ignoring the first steep fork on the right. The road continues downhill where we meet the second fork marking the turning point. Before turning back, we stroll down to the stream, breathing in the scent of the damp forest. We retrace our steps and take the obvious path to the left, which, flanked by a low wall, leads to the horse and alpaca pens. The path finally crosses the small hamlet of Dorà, where we notice some old houses built with porphyry stones, a small fountain and a fresco on the house to the left near the small church.

Reach Casatta on the SP71 and follow the signs for Dorà.
