THE 10 RULES FOR HIKERS
Please note that the practicability of the itineraries in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the contingent conditions and is therefore influenced by natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this page may have changed. Before leaving for a tour, make sure the path you will approach is still accessible by contacting the owner of the mountain hut, the alpine guides or the visitor centres of the nature parks, the info offices of the local tourist board.
Reach an altitude of 2000 m using the Alpe Cermis cable cars (lifts open from mid-June to mid-September) and head towards the Sporting Hotel. On the left, take the path that plunges into the mysterious and curious stone pine forest and climbs with moderate gradient to the Lo Chalet refuge.
The return can be made along the same route.
Alternatively, continue uphill until you reach Paion del Cermis (20 minutes - 50 metres difference in altitude) from where there are 2 descent possibilities:
a) along path L01
b) with the Lagorai chairlift
You can reach Cavalese by bus from each village of Val di Fiemme.
When you reach Cavalese follow the directions Funivie Alpe Cermis. On the road in the bottom of the valley you will find the cable car departure between Masi di Cavalese village and the waterfall.
There are two parkings: one in Cavalese near the lift office, the other one is on the valley floor close to the second lift office (near the river).
