THE 10 RULES FOR HIKERS
As you can imagine, the passability of routes in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the conditions at the time and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes, and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have changed. Before leaving, check the status of the route by contacting the refuge managers on your route, alpine guides, nature park visitor centers, and tourist offices.
Reach an altitude of 2000 m with the Alpe Cermis cable cars (lifts open from mid-June to mid-September) and head towards the Sporting hotel. On the left, take the path that goes through a majestic Swiss pine forest and then opens up, climbing with a moderate slope up to the Lo Chalet refuge.
The return can be made along the same route.
Alternatively, continue climbing until you reach the Paion del Cermis (20 minutes - 50 meters of elevation gain), from where there are 2 descent options:
a) along the L01 path
b) with the Lagorai chairlift
Cavalese is reachable by public transport from all the towns of Val di Fiemme.
Arriving by car in the center of Cavalese, follow the signs for the Alpe Cermis cable cars.
On the valley road, the cable car departure is located between the village of Masi di Cavalese and the Cascata locality.
Two parking options: in Cavalese in the square in front of the Cermis ski pass office and along the valley road near the valley station of the Cermis cable car.
Trekking shoes, waterproof jacket, trekking poles, water, sunscreen.
