Time left until the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026
Cross-country skiing is an easy, funny and healthy sport. Indeed, crisp air stimulates your circulation and with legs and arms’ coordinated movements, you practice almost all your body muscles. Cross-country skiing brings many benefits, both to your body and mind. Like other outdoor activities, it lets you empty your mind and fill up with energy coming from nature.
Enjoy 150 kms of tracks among woods and Dolomites sceneries, in two well-equipped cross-country ski centers, here in the valley where Marcialonga takes place every year, that has hosted three FIS Nordic Ski World Championships and that will be home to the MilanoCortina2026 Winter Olympics.
To the newbies of this winter sport, Val di Fiemme offers every week two group cross-country ski lessons (for beginners), discounted for Fiemme Cembra Guest Card holders.
For more than 50 years the courses in Lago di Tesero have been a great place for practicing cross-country skiing. Its enviable position and its consolidated experience in the artificial snow production, also thanks to a cutting-edge system, guarantee perfect tracks. For this reason the centre is open from December to the middle of March, despite it is located only 900 m above sea level.
The stadium annually hosts the FIS Cross-Country Ski World Cup competitions - with the final stages of the famous Tour de Ski - and Nordic Combined World Cup. It was also home of the 3 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme (1991, 2003 and 2013) and will be one of the Host Sites of the MilanoCortina2026 Winter Olympic Games.
The center offers a variety of tracks, all quite demanding and very technical. The complete route develops on a 3,5 km loop, from which 3 other shorter routes are obtained:

Marcialonga Track
The legendary Marcialonga track is available from Christmas time and offers the opportunity to ski on a mainly flat track which can be divided into 4 different sectors, starting from the lowest one at 800m als in Molina di Fiemme, to the highest in Moena, 1.200m asl.
Located at Passo Lavazé, on a plateau between Trentino and South Tyrol, with its over 80 km of trails, perfectly prepared by a professional technical staff, and the numerous itineraries, the centre is able to satisfy skilled skiers and beginners alike. The enchanting sight from the pass, the natural environment surrounding the tracks and the sun shining on most of the ski circuit, are the main features of this place, ideal destination for all the cross-country ski lovers.
The connection with Oclini, located at a slightly higher altitude, has furtherly increased the number of possible itineraries, and also allowed the possibility to ski until spring.
A few typical mountain huts are dotted along the most popular routes and are ready to welcome you with their traditional dishes. It is also possible to reach some of them on foot or snowshoes, along a few paths expressly designed for amazing walks. On these trails takes place the Lavazeloppet, a traditional international cross-country ski race with classic technique, which anticipates the Marcialonga, “the queen of cross-country ski marathons” of just a few days.
