Walk in the shade of spruce, pine and larch trees above the village of Carano, with unexpected views of the surrounding places.
It is the small hill north of the village of Carano that gives its name to this walk which gives us a fresh and regenerating itinerary. Announced by the meadows and pastures of Calvello, the forest road leads into the varied forest, continuing a slight steady ascent to the panoramic meadows of Ganzaie. In the right seasons, the attentive eye will be able to find the giftsof the forest: from wild strawberries to raspberries, from elderberry flowers to those of Aaron's beard, to fragrant "porcini" mushrooms (boletus). At the gates of Daiano, when the path slopes down to return to the starting point, the view opens up to allow you to grasp the vastness of the Lagorai chain with a single glance.
Being a circular route, the walk can be done in both directions, enjoying a slightly longer stretch of gradual descent if done counterclockwise. But every convenience is paid! The stretch to Ganzaie is a little steeper.

From the parking start walking on the asphalted road till you reach Calvello. Then take the dirt road “Giro di Solombo”, first into a wood of pines then into a wood of spruces.
Looking down you can see the village of San Lugano.
Then you reach Ganzaie, where a wood of larches gives you an extraordinary landscape over the mountain chain of Lagorai. Continue slightly downhill on the asphalted road and then turn right to reach Maso dello Speck where we suggest a delicious break. Continue on the dirt road that goes into the larch forest and, always keeping on the left side, you reach again Calvello. Turn left to go back to the parking.
