At 10:00 AM, we will discover together the history of Capriana, a village on the border between Val di Fiemme and Val di Cembra, characterized by a cluster of farms. Walking through its steep and picturesque streets, we will visit the beautiful church in the center, dedicated to Saints Bartholomew and Lazarus, and the small painted chapel by Paolo Vallorz.
At 2:30 PM, we will uncover the story of the 'blessed Meneghina,' illustrated in her family's mill, which we will reach via a lovely path in a twenty-minute walk from the center of Capriana. The astonishing life of Maria Domenica Lazzeri (1815-1848) will be recounted to us by volunteers from the 'Friends of Meneghina' association. Her mysterious and painful illness, one hundred and fifty years ago, attracted scholars and curious individuals from all over Europe to this remote village.
