Concert of the prestigious Haydn Orchestra of Trento and Bolzano conducted by maestro Katharina Mullner.
From the classicism of Mozart to the suggestions of the twentieth century, the program offers a musical journey rich in colors and contrasts. In addition to Symphony No. 9 K 73 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed when the musician was still very young but already ready to surprise with freshness and inventiveness, the evening continues with Le boeuf sur le toit by Darius Milhaud, a lively and brilliant piece inspired by the rhythms and atmospheres of Brazil. The journey then traverses the America of Aaron Copland with Hoe-Down, an energetic piece that reinterprets folk melodies of the West evoking dances, parties, and vast open spaces. The evening concludes with a true novelty: the Italian premiere of the instrumental Suite that composer Gábor Kerényi has adapted from Carmen, the most famous opera by Georges Bizet, reinterpreting its themes and characters in an original and engaging orchestral setting.
