“Ganes,” which in Italian means “nymphs,” is the name chosen by three musicians from Val Badia: the sisters Elisabeth and Marlene Schuen and their cousin Maria Moling. Born in La Villa, they play violin and guitar and sing almost exclusively in Ladin. After moving to Germany, they have become true stars, performing in theaters, circuses, and stadiums with over 300 concerts, despite their lyrics being mostly incomprehensible to the local audience.
