Show "The Forest and Plants in the Current Climate Crisis: The Case of the Magnificent Community of Fiemme," curated by Alice Zottele and Tommaso Dossi, with the scientific contribution of Andrea Bertagnolli.
The exhibition The forest and plants in the current climate crisis: the case of the Magnificent Community of Fiemme is the final event of a broad cultural program promoted in collaboration with the Civic Museum Foundation of Rovereto, on the occasion of the Thematic Year of the Museums of Euregio 2025.
For the five hundredth anniversary of the peasant wars of 1525, which represented a period of crisis and uncertainty, the Magnificent Community of Fiemme has decided to share with the general public an important moment of reflection: the management of its forests and other common goods in light of the drastic natural events that have profoundly impacted the territory in recent years. Climate change, exemplified by the Vaia storm and the bark beetle epidemic, represents a challenge for the organization to face, not alone, but with the participation and involvement of the entire community. The goal, in line with the motto of the Thematic Year “looking beyond – weiter sehen,” is to act and transform an economic and social crisis into an opportunity to rethink and plan for the future together.
Exhibition realized as part of the Year of the Museums Euregio 2025, for the project "The forest and plants in the current climate crisis: the case of Euregio" thanks to the support of Euregio – Tyrol – South Tyrol – Trentino.
The exhibition is open for visits starting December 14, during museum opening hours.
