Each season in the Park offers incredible natural spectacles – in autumn, it’s the roaring of the deer. With the arrival of the first cold nights and the larches turning golden, the deer enter their mating season, and the valleys of the Park echo with the powerful calls of the stags. For a male deer, this is the most demanding time of the year: with deep roars, ritual displays, and fierce clashes, rivals compete for the attention of the females.
The program begins with a short introduction to help participants understand the deer and their roaring behavior. This will be followed by an easy night hike in the forest, guided by the Park’s wildlife experts, in search of the deer and to listen to their calls. A thermal camera will also be used to observe these proud animals in complete darkness without disturbing them.
