Evening of tradition and community with the "Fires of the Sacred Heart".
The Sunday following Corpus Christi, throughout the territory of the Euregio, peaks and slopes light up with the "Fires of the Sacred Heart of Jesus." The fires are linked to the solemn vow of the Tyrolean population: in 1796, Napoleonic French troops invaded the County of Tyrol, and the population turned to the prayers of the "Sacred Heart of Jesus," praying for the protection of their land.
