Mountain choir festival

Traditional concert presented by the choirs Genzianella, Rio Bianco, Negritella, and Enrosadira on the occasion of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

A review that brings together four mountain choirs to celebrate the tradition of folk singing, an authentic expression of the roots and cultural identity of the alpine valleys. Voices that narrate memory, life, and the values of mountain communities, in a meeting of harmonies, history, and belonging.

The Coro Genzianella di Tesero was born in 1950 thanks to the passion of 9 friends who loved mountain singing and is among the founding members of the Trentino Choir Federation.
Numerous performances have featured the choir over the years through concerts and reviews both in Italy and abroad: Spain, Belgium, Germany, Romania, Scotland. The latest trip took place in Luxembourg at the invitation of the local Circle "Trentini nel mondo".
In 2017, it participated in the 2nd "L. Pigarelli National Competition" where maestro Diego Cavada won the “award for best emerging conductor”. Since 2008, it has been presided over by Andrea Trettel.

The Coro Rio Bianco di Panchà was established in 1995 and consists of a mixed ensemble of about thirty elements. A mixed choir is quite unique in terms of folk singing, in fact, it is the only choir in the Fiemme Valley that includes female members, and there are very few choirs in Trentino with such a characteristic.
Since 2009, the choir has been directed by maestro Ivo Brigadoi, a cellist from Predazzo, with whom the choir is conducting a research on folk songs harmonized specifically for mixed choir from Trentino, Italy, and around the world.
Ornella Defrancesco is the current president of the Coro Rio Bianco.

The Coro Negritella di Predazzo was founded in 1954 and is one of the oldest singing groups in Trentino; among other things, it is one of the founders of the Trentino Choir Federation established in 1963. Countless concerts have featured it locally and nationally with numerous events in almost all Italian regions, but several trips abroad should also be remembered. With the traditional repertoire of folk and mountain songs, the Negritella choir addresses different themes very dear to alpine choirs in general: the pain of war, the harshness of peasant life, emigration, but also the carefreeness and lightness of serenades and love stories.
The choir is currently directed by Lorenzo Ziller and presided over by Paolo Dellantonio.

The Coro Enrosadira di Moena was founded in the autumn of 1981 thanks to the enthusiasm of some young people. The name of the choir is inspired by a natural phenomenon typical of mountainous areas: enrosadira is the term with which the Ladins identify that delicate pink color that the pale Dolomite rocks “set on fire” by the slanting rays of the sun take on in the evening, especially in autumn.
The direction of the choir is in the hands of maestra Barbara Pedrotti, whose skills and desire for renewal have further enhanced the enthusiasm of those who sing and provided pleasant surprises for those who listen. In addition to the traditional repertoire of mountain and folk songs, the Coro Enrosadira dedicates part of its time to the study and performance of Ladin songs, especially those related to the historical figure of the Moena composer Ermanno Zanoner, known as “Luigi Canori”.
