It is a wild landscape that greets hikers when they arrive at the 2270 m. of the Bombasel lakes, in the Lagorai group, a vast mountain area that extends across eastern Trentino, between the Val di Fiemme and Valsugana. The lakes, scattered across the rocky plateau and with views of the Dolomites, can be reached with a walk from Alpe Cermis, served by a lift system. A magical place, normally also little frequented, perfect to host the MediBa 4tet (Mediterranean–Balkan Quartet), an acoustic ensemble made up of Maša Vujadinović (voice), Jakob Kobal (accordion), Queralt Giralt Soler (cello), and Andrea Dionisi (drums/percussions). Finalist in 2025 of the “Paolo Manfrini” competition, named after the founder of “I suoni delle Dolomiti”, the quartet was born at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, intending to blend the Balkan and Mediterranean traditions of its members with original arrangements, jazz, and classical suggestions. Their music effortlessly transitions from delicate moments to intense harmonic and rhythmic journeys. Active on the east coast of the United States, the MediBa return this year to Europe and the Suoni for their first tour. We can't wait.
