Collecting plays a very important role in the preservation and promotion of the history and culture of sports. Just in time for the year of the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, Villa Flora has opened its activities with a temporary exhibition centered around “Olympic and sports marvels.” The journey presents a trip between the 1936 Winter Games in Garmisch and the World Championships of 2013, hosted in Val di Fiemme for the third time, offering a mix of Olympic stories interwoven with the great sporting tradition that has characterized this territory and these communities. “Olympic and sports marvels” is the first event of a path that aims to increasingly define Villa Flora as an exhibition space dedicated to Olympic, Paralympic, and sports history, its values, and its culture. A cultural project titled “Villa Flora/Where the community flourishes” promoted by the social cooperative LE RAIS, the Municipality of Ziano, and the Historical Museum Foundation of Trentino.
