A 3-day trek through the silent woods and the precious reserves of the Upper Val di Cembra and the Monte Corno Natural Park. An immersion in an environment still intact and waiting to be discovered.

The proposed route leads you to something special, unusual. You will not encounter rock towers or untouched peaks but something smaller and perhaps less striking, yet equally precious. In three days, which is the time the route takes to complete, you will always be surrounded by the forests that separate the Adige valley from the Val di Cembra. An area straddling two worlds since Roman times, where you will meet witnesses of the past and present of this mountain. First among all: the peat bogs, ancient glacial lakes where peat has gradually reduced the water surface, creating an environment incredibly favorable to biodiversity. In addition, bird trapping towers, mills, and boundary markers that tell forgotten stories.

The route starts from Pochi di Salorno in the Adige Valley, then climbs to the Dossone di Cembra, follows the whole ridge in a pleasant up-and-down alternation until the Malga Monte Corno mountain hut, then descends to Cauria and returns to Pochi di Salorno.

We recommend doing this trek in autumn, when the forests of upper Val di Cembra wear their most beautiful clothing.
