A circular walk that, starting from the village of Grumes (Altavalle), crosses the ancient masi of German origin among meadows, fields and wide panoramic views.
A walk in the tranquility of the woods rediscovering the ancient Masi of Grumes, a mountain corner that has managed to preserve the atmosphere of its origins, dating back to the Middle Ages. Names and toponyms of the places trace the foundation of the Masi to the German migrations that involved Trentino between the 11th and 16th centuries, encouraged by the Tyrolean Lords of Koenigsberg and the Prince-Bishop of Trento to increase tithes and guard an important route between Tyrol and the Adige Valley. For about four centuries from their arrival, the German farmers of the Grumes Masi area maintained their language and customs, deeply influencing the local culture. The path connects in a loop the masi Greggion, Ferrai, Pojeri, Todescat, Giovanni, Gaiardi, Noldi, Orion, and Pinteri, located in an amphitheater of woods and meadows.
