The great sportsmen who competed in the Nordic Ski World Championships in 1991, 2003 and 2013 in Val di Fiemme competed in the symbolic sports centers of the valley: the XC center of Lago di Tesero and the Jumping Stadium of Predazzo. Let's find them out!
Our starting point is Lago di Tesero which in winter hosts the Cross Country Ski Stadion. Here local champions like Giorgio and Bice Vanzetta and Cristian Zorzi called "Zorro" have sweated and won acclaimed by the home crowd. The itinerary follows the Fiemme cycle path towards Predazzo. Along the way you can admire some characteristic views of the valley; the wooden covered bridge in Panchià, the oldest covered bridge in Trentino, the only survivor of time and natural events. The halfway point is at the Jumping Stadion, considered among the best in the world. It has big and small trampolines and is used not only for competitions but also for training. The return retraces only partially the road already made and turns onto dirt roads and asphalted stretches that run along the orographic right side of the Avisio river, less known but very suggestive.

Starting point
Lago di Tesero
Directions
The Fiemme cycle path leads to Predazzo in about 8 km; here, be careful when crossing the center of the vilalge on roads shared with vehicular traffic. On the way back, stay along the cycle path alongside the Avisio stream which allows you to take the dirt road that crosses Ziano in the upper part. The route comes to an end by returning to the pleasant stretch along the Avisio stream which takes you back to the cycle path in Panchià and then to the starting point.
How to get there
From Cavalese or Predazzo take the SP 232 provincial road. Lago di Tesero is located about halfway between the 2 villages.
Where to park
Several parking lots at the Centro del Fondo (Cross Country Ski Stadion).
