The bucolic landscape at the end point of this walk is a fitting culmination of the itinerary.
Leaving the parking lot near the ski lifts, after a few minutes of walking you enter a quiet environment. The itinerary takes place in a bright forest of firs and larches. In the final part, the vegetation gives way to marvelous views of the Pale di San Martino and the Lagorai Chain.

As you can imagine, the passability of routes in a mountain environment is closely linked to current conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes, and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have changed. Before departing, inform yourself about the state of the route by contacting the managers of the refuges on your route, mountain guides, natural park visitor centers, and tourist offices.
Starting point
Bellamonte Loc. Castelir
Directions
Take the forest road behind the El Zirmo refuge, which steadily climbs and connects the Castelir area to Loc. Canvere. You pass through a sparse forest with typical alpine huts, the slope of the route is constant but never particularly steep. Upon reaching the Canvere area, the forest thins out and the few stone pines enhance the panorama over the imposing Pale di San Martino and the Lagorai Chain.
For those who still have time and energy, we recommend extending the route to Malga Bocche. From Canvere, continue to the right on the obvious forest road until you reach the hut (open in summer) situated on a panoramic hill. From Canvere to Malga Bocche, it is a further 3.5 km (one way) almost flat.
The return is along the same route as the outward journey. There is also the possibility of returning to the parking lot using the Bellamonte 3.0 cable car. The forest road connecting Loc. Canvere to the cable car is 1 km long.

How to get there
From Predazzo, take the road to Passo Rolle. After the town of Bellamonte, turn left towards Castelir Ski Facilities.
