LAMPONI is a female trio designed for unconventional spaces such as courtyards of historic buildings, squares, or
cloisters. Three young women appear on stage as figures suspended in time, evoking images of
paintings, books, or films. Drawn to a still life – a tray of red fruits inside a frame –
they are pushed into an unexpected transformation.
The performance explores the female figure in the history of art, questioning the male gaze
that has traditionally represented it. Goddesses or temptresses, angels or demons, women have been portrayed
with extreme contrasts, often far from their historical reality. At first, the protagonists embody these
stereotypes – grace, beauty, elegance – but throughout the performance the images crack, revealing
more intimate and multifaceted identities, amidst unease, strength, and instinct.
Through a play of frivolity and monstrosity, LAMPONI constructs a narrative that challenges and dissolves the
stereotypes, mixing irony and sensuality. A dance between light and shadow, which returns to femininity its
mutable, provocative, and profoundly free character.
