The case of the Magnificent Community of Fiemme. Exhibition curated by Alice Zottele and Tommaso Dossi, with the scientific contribution of Andrea Bertagnolli.
The exhibition The forest and plants in the current climate crisis: the case of the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme is the final event of a wide cultural program promoted in collaboration with the Fondazione Museo Civico di Rovereto, on the occasion of the Thematic Year of the Museums of the Euregio 2025.
For the five hundredth anniversary of the Peasants' Wars of 1525, which represented a period of crisis and uncertainty, the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme has decided to share with the general public an important moment of reflection: the management of its forests and other common goods in light of the drastic natural events that have profoundly affected the territory in recent years. Climate change, of which the Vaia storm and the bark beetle epidemic are emblematic, represents a challenge for the organization to face, not alone, but with the participation and involvement of the entire community. The objective, in line with the motto of the Thematic Year "look beyond – weiter sehen", is to act and transform an economic and social crisis into an opportunity to rethink and design together its own future.
Exhibition realized as part of the Year of the Euregio Museums 2025, for the project "The forest and plants in the current climate crisis: the case of the Euregio" thanks to the support of the Euregio – Tyrol – South Tyrol – Trentino.
