Dancing In The Mountains d'inverno is the first winter contemporary dance festival in Val di Fiemme. Debates, walks, screenings, performances, and shows celebrate the mountain and winter sports, reinterpret them artistically to tell captivating stories, and bring forth a shared memory related to experiencing the mountainous territory across the past, present, and future.

A show that begins with the expression of a rationally unattainable desire: to want to be a mountain. The use of different types of visual and sound materials and their juxtaposition act on the perception of the human body so that it can be seen as a mountain, not only in form but also in its essence, inviting the audience to abandon logical consumption to access imaginative modes of vision. On stage, the relationship between the performer’s body and the rock is based on continuous attempts at mimesis, fusion, adhesion that will never lead to total identification but will take the audience on a hypnotic journey through the movement of this unattainable desire for correspondence.
