GAD City of Trento
by Diego Fabbri - directed by Umberto Uez
It is the story of the beautiful and provocative Isabella, a sensual woman from the outskirts of Rome, who lives in a house owned by the Vatican and, through a series of tricks and lies, manages to share her love between her official boyfriend Albino, an elementary school teacher, and Count Adriano, a passionate papal aristocrat. Isabella demonstrates her petty amorality by juggling lies and deceptions between the two, with clever and cunning games in a succession of ironic situations, also supported by an intriguing and manipulative mother. Written in 1956, "The Liar" initially faced difficulties in representation, as it deals with divorces and lovers with a female protagonist.
