Lezioni di autonomia

Meeting with Giuseppe Tognon, historian, President of the Trentino Alcide De Gasperi Foundation and Francesco Bonini, historian, rector of LUMSA University. Free entry with mandatory reservation on the Tickettailor website https://www.tickettailor.com/events/fondazionetrentinaalcidedegasperi/2358539

At 80 years from that fateful year 1946 which so deeply marked the future of our land, two great historians like Giuseppe Tognon and Francesco Bonini accompany us on a journey into the heart of 20th-century history, to rediscover the deep roots of Trentino Autonomy.

Untangling the threads of those months in which the Second World War came to an end, the Republic was born, the project of the Constitution took breath, and the path to regional Autonomy opened up, the speakers allow us to immerse ourselves in the tumultuous atmosphere of those days when anything could happen and to return to the genesis of that intuition which saw in autonomy a promise of coexistence, democracy, and integration.

A legacy still alive, which continues to interrogate us, inviting us to reconnect the threads of history and asking how we are willing to face the future challenges of self-government and regionalism in an evolving European context.

The evening is part of a broader program of meetings promoted on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the De Gasperi-Gruber Agreement.
