Once again this year, the Lumberjack Festival will transform the natural stadium ‘dei Larici’ in Piazzòl, in Castello Molina di Fiemme, into an arena where precision combined with muscular power will win.
The innovative formula proposed involves teams of woodcutters competing in five different specialities and an optional individual climbing competition.
Sunday 1 September 2024 sees the return of the Lumberjack and Forestry Festival, one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year, where the skills of our lumberjacks are mixed with the joy of sharing, reminiscing and partying.
The innovative formula proposed involves the formation of teams of woodcutters who compete in five different specialities and an individual and optional climbing competition, both within the setting of the ‘Stadio dei Larici’ near Piazzol in Castello-Molina di Fiemme.
The main competition sees the teams take it in turns to tackle the five specialities: felling the pole with a chainsaw, splitting the log with an axe, limbing the log with a chainsaw, cutting the log with a hand saw and dragging the log with a hoe.
The competitions are open to professional foresters who are owners, partners employees or collaborators of companies or organisations carrying out their activity in the Fiemme Valley.

11.00 a.m. - Stand opening and concert of the Molina di Fiemme social band
11.30 a.m. - Lunch organised by the Polisportiva di Molina
2 p.m. - SABART team competition
3.30 p.m. - HUSQVARNA individual competition
4.30 pm - Prize-giving ceremony
5 pm - Music and dance
