The course starts in Moena, climbs in Val di Fassa up to the halfway point in Canazei, and continues to Predazzo, Lago di Tesero, and along that final ramp in the Cascata area, which often makes the selection before the finish. Along the course, thousands of fans cheer on the competitors until the last one reaches the finish line at dusk, welcomed by spectacular fireworks in the sky of Cavalese.
The history of the Marcialonga is practically the history of cross-country skiing in Trentino and in Italy. Every year, the Marcialonga sees athletes registered from all over the world, thus representing a moment of sport and friendship that is truly international!
