From July 2 to July 5, the Val di Cembra hosts the 39th edition of Müller Thurgau: Mountain Wine, an international event that celebrates one of the symbolic wines of this territory through free tastings, technical meetings, and immersive experiences in the area. The heart of the event will be Palazzo Maffei, where it will be possible to taste dozens of Müller Thurgau labels from various Italian and foreign production areas.
To enrich the program for wine enthusiasts, there will also be the awards ceremony and tasting of the winning wines of the 23rd International Competition, along with an interesting masterclass focused on the theme of savoriness in wine, conducted by sommelier and journalist Giuseppe Carrus.
Space will also be dedicated to mixology with an appointment dedicated to grappa: bartender Leonardo Veronesi will guide the audience in discovering the art of mixing through a special lesson and the creation of signature cocktails.
With Heroes one walks through the vineyards, with culinary stops along the way and, a new feature this year, a final barbecue nestled among the rows. Those who prefer two wheels can opt for Cantine in sella, an e-bike itinerary with stops at some local wineries to closely discover the work and passion that lie within every bottle produced on these steep slopes.
At the table, however, the festival plays the surprise card. Il giro del mondo in 80 Müller returns, a showcooking of ethnic cuisine to showcase the versatility of this wine: after Japan, Sri Lanka, and Thailand, this year it’s Nigeria’s turn, with three recipes offered for tasting. And then there’s the dinner on the avenue under the stars, enriched by an artistic performance.
Various initiatives organized in the local wineries and the culinary offerings of the Rural Women—who will delight guests every day with traditional dishes—complete the offer.
The complete program will be published shortly
