We want it all: resources, growth, security, and an untouched environment. But what happens when these needs end up on the scales? Which way does the needle lean? In this meeting, we will address limits understood as the weight of our decisions. With Heidi Simion, we will reflect on an uncomfortable but necessary concept: the idea that human needs cannot always take precedence. Following this, Chiara Bettega will present a concrete and very close case study, namely the impact of post-storm forestry interventions on alpine biodiversity.
A dialogue to discover that today’s true challenge is not to take as much as possible, but to have the responsibility to stop and measure how much each of our individual choices really weighs on the ecosystem.
