On Saturday September 13, 2025, at 9 PM, the Pieve di Cavalese will fill with the solemn and haunting notes of the Stabat Mater by Gioachino Rossini, performed by soloists, mixed choir, and piano. A masterpiece that combines emotional intensity, spiritual depth, and musical sophistication.
The Concert for the Sorrowful, now in its fourth edition, is organized by the Associazione Culturale Le Muse e le Dolomiti and is dedicated to the Madonna Addolorata of Fiemme, a figure venerated for centuries and linked to a vow of protection for the community against wars and famines. This year, the event takes on an even deeper meaning: it marks 80 years since the end of World War II, and the Sanctuary next to the Pieve – custodian of the sacred effigy – was erected right after the conflict as a sign of gratitude and remembrance. This evening will not only be a musical event but also a moment of reflection and unity for the entire community, merging international artistic heritage with the living history of the Fiemme valley.
