Two women. Two sisters. Their affection, their love. A life spent together and then, suddenly, death. It is the story of a “relationship.” It begins at the end, with the death of one of the two, in a house (their home), on a rainy morning. From that moment, like in a dream, we go back in time: to the time of their youth. A “pas de deux” played with elements of silent film, voice-overs, and music from the past, alternating between past and present as if they were a sequence of visions tied to memory, and in the brief time we have, we observe them throughout their existence. Then, in the end, something pins us down, paralyzes us, and inevitably raises some questions: what does it mean to spend a life together? What happens during absence, when the other is no longer there? What remains in that empty space, inside and out, when you are left alone, when there is no longer a body, a place, a dimension to return to and not even a reason why? The answers can be infinite, but only one day will we know.
