Winner of the special competition in memory of Paolo Manfrini, which gave this jazz trio the opportunity to participate in the 2025 edition of I Suoni delle Dolomiti.
The project "Le Scat Noir" was born in the summer of 2013. Three girls from the north, south, and center of Italy met at the conservatory in Ferrara for the same reason: to study jazz music. After arranging several standards and songs from the Italian singer-songwriter repertoire and other sources, the vocal trio began to focus more on creating original pieces. These compositions are characterized by the union and diversity of the musical backgrounds of the three group members. This eclecticism is one of the distinctive features of their way of composing and working together. The nature of their ensemble leads them to use and explore the body and voice in all their sound and timbral potentials. In their live performances, they alternate a cappella pieces with others accompanied by violin and piano.

How to get there: From Cavalese, take the Alpe Cermis cable cars and the Lagorai chairlift to Paion, then continue on foot. 1-hour walk, 200-meter elevation gain, difficulty level E. The trail has uneven terrain but is easily walkable with hiking boots. There is also a section with steps.
