The Meneghina is Maria Domenica Lazzeri (1815–1848), a mystical figure from Capriana, now declared Venerable by Pope Francesco. The mill belonged to her family, and it is there that she worked before her long illness. The museum preserves both the environment of the old mill and testimonies related to her life and popular devotion.
