The Magnificent Community is based in its Palace, a historic building in Cavalese, which houses the picture gallery, the museum, and the archive of manuscripts, statutes, and writings that are extremely important for the ancient history of Fiemme. The building of the Magnificent Community of Fiemme was built in the Middle Ages by the Prince-Bishops of Trento as the seat of their great Vicars and summer residence. Of 14th-century origins, the palace became the seat of the Magnificent Community of Fiemme in 1850. The extensive restoration work carried out on the building has restored the palace to its ancient splendor.
