The Albino Luciani Museum, located in Canale d'Agordo (BL) about 30 km from Predazzo, was officially inaugurated by Cardinal and Vatican Secretary of State Pietro Parolin on August 26, 2016.
Through multimedia resources, objects, clothing, and documents, it tells the story of Pope John Paul I, the only blessed pope from the Dolomites, beatified on September 4, 2022, and the land that gave him birth.
The birthplace was officially opened to visitors on August 2, 2019, and, thanks to a personal donation from Cardinal Beniamino Stella, was purchased by the Diocese of Vittorio Veneto.
The place of heart and affections for Albino Luciani is, along with the museum, a destination for thousands and thousands of visitors and pilgrims.
