Nestled in the beautiful Sadole valley, the mountain hut Rifugio Baita Monte Cauriol is located at an altitude of 1,600 metres, surrounded by the wild nature of the Lagorai mountain chain. Departure point for many easy walks or excursions on the Lagorai chain, to the peaks Cauriol, Cardinal and Busa Alta where you can find many Great War’s relics and fortifications. In the mountain hut is displayed a collection of war relics found in Val di Sadole by Aldo Zorzi.
To reach the hut, start from Ziano di Fiemme and follow the road signs to Rifugio Cauriol. The last part of the road of about 1 km is only accessible on foot with an easy walk (about 20 min.) on a dirt road.
We offer typical Trentino dishes such as sauerkraut, beans, polenta with melted cheese, stew, lucanica and delicious homemade desserts.
The Rifugio also counts on 20 beds. A reservation is required.
