Built in 1829 in a neoclassical style, it was created by the will and with the contribution of the Magnifica Comunità di FIemme, thanks also to the bequest of the Varena painter Don Antonio Longo.
The external tympanum shows the Lady of Sorrows and scenes of the life of Jesus, while on the internal counter-façade stands Christ on the Cross, both frescoes by V. Melchiori (1940). The statue on display is a late Gothic Pietà from the second half of the 1400s.
The Sanctuary has been the destination of numerous pilgrimages over the centuries.
