The Geological Museum of the Dolomites in Predazzo, a branch of the Muse-Science Museum of Trento, invites you to dig into the geological eras of the valley with videos, games, and interactive installations.
Founded in 1899, the museum is the result of the cultural ferment and the strong attention given to the Dolomitic territories by geologists from all over the world since the early 1800s. At that time, a new theory on the origin of mountains was taking shape precisely in Predazzo.
Now the museum narrates the geological history of the Dolomites and the relationship of man with the mountain through an engaging exhibition.
In summer, the museum enriches its cultural offerings with a packed calendar of events for adults, children, and families. The educational workshops will transform children into little geologists. Guided excursions will take you to discover the Latemar atoll, the jewel of the fossil archipelago of the Dolomites.
