The Geological Museum of the Dolomites in Predazzo, a branch of the MUSE-Museum of Sciences in Trento, invites you to dig into the geological eras of the valley with videos, games, and interactive installations.
Founded in 1899, the museum is the result of the cultural ferment and strong attention given to the Dolomitic territories by geologists from around the world since the early 1800s. During that time, a new theory about the origin of mountains was taking shape in Predazzo.
Now the museum tells the geological history of the Dolomites and the relationship between man and the mountain through an engaging exhibition.
In summer, the museum enriches its cultural offerings with a packed calendar of events for adults, children, and families. The playful-educational workshops will transform children into little geologists. The guided excursions will take you to discover the Latemar atoll, the pearl of the fossil archipelago of the Dolomites.
