Val di Fiemme: from the Olympic games to endless views on the ski slopes

Val di Fiemme prepares to live a winter with an Olympic flavor. Among the Cross-Country Ski Stadium of Lago di Tesero, where the races of Nordic skiing will take place, and the Ski Jumping Stadium of Predazzo, ready to welcome the competitions of Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined, the valley becomes one of the most important stages of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.

These two facilities are a few kilometers from each other and represent the sportive heart of the valley. Both lay at the bottom of Latemar Dolomites ski area. There, people who love Alpine skiing find perfectly-prepared, technical and panoramic slopes, from November to Easter, in Predazzo, Pampeago and Obereggen.

In Pampeago, this winter, a new lift will guarantee even faster and more comfortable links, a sign of the constant effort of the valley in improving their services.

But the alpine skiing in Val di Fiemme doesn’t stop in Latemar. The Fiemme/Obereggen ski area is a destination of excellence.

With more than 100 km of perfectly prepared slopes throughout the all season, Val di Fiemme offers five different ski areas, and you can go skiing there with just one skipass in your pocket. Here, skiing doesn't just mean having fun on the snow, but it also means constantly changing the view, and changing from a dolomitic landscape to another.

At the Alpe Cermis you can ski down the long and suggestive Olympia, a 7.5km slope that reaches the bottom of the valley, under the village of Cavalese. The Alpe Lusia-Bellamonte is the best place for families and beginners. The Passo Rolle offers natural slopes and views of Pale di San Martino, while the Passo Lavazè-Oclini gives quiet slopes and marvellous landscapes. Just a skipass for 5 ski areas, for an offer that goes from the adrenaline-filled emotions to more chilling days.

On the slopes, the hospitality of the mountain huts makes the experience unforgettable. There you can taste different typical dishes of Trentino and local wines, as the culinary tradition of our valley rules. For all families, every ski area offers kinderheim and playgrounds on the snow where your kids can embrace and experience mountain life in safety and fun.

The valley has been the home of cross country skiing for decades. In fact it is known as “The little Norway of the Dolomites”. Beyond the Cross-Country Ski Stadium in Lago di Tesero, which hosts major international competitions, there’s also the Passo Lavazè with over 80 km of tracks surrounded by forests and alpine pastures. Here, skiing becomes a silent and contemplative experience, in perfect harmony with the landscapes of the Dolomites.

And for those who are looking for a slower rhythm, the snow of Val di Fiemme can be  experienced with a pair of snowshoes - go and explore popular paths and winter walks through spruce woods, clearings and panoramic balconies. Alongside the path, mountain huts welcome wanderers and hikers with typical dishes and hot drinks, transforming every trip into a moment of connection with the mountains.

In Val Fiemme, winter is an invitation to move outside: from the Olympic skiing atmosphere  to the forest paths, every experience tells the same story of sport, nature and beauty.
